Plank Desiccant Lid

Several customers requested a lid to help keep their Reef Jerky dryer in place, so we designed this one. Please be aware that it hasn't been tested over the long term; we welcome your feedback to determine if it should be added to the permanent catalog or included as a feature in the next version of The Plank. 

Moisture can spoil Reef Jerky due to it being dehydrated and free of preservatives. To help those in ultra-high humid environments, we are testing the development of a desiccant lid to absorb excess ambient humidity or moisture in and around the Reef Jerky.   

Plank lid with a slot for 5-gram silica gel desiccant packs. Comes with three color-indicating rechargeable desiccant packs (orange to green).

Recharge Care

OVEN  Recharge by placing in a 250F degree oven for 1 hour.

 
MICROWAVE  Using the DEFROST setting, defrost packets for 7-12 minutes. Start with the least amount of time and increase as needed (i.e., until the color fully returns to the original state).

 
* Reactivation varies depending on the saturation level of the beads, the type of oven (convection or normal), and the microwave wattage used.
